Jones, Jaros and Elliott feature as England beat Czechia in U21 Euros opener
Three Liverpool players featured as England defeated Czechia 2-0 in their opening match of the U21 European Championship.
Curtis Jones and Vitezslav Jaros both started and finished Thursday’s Group C contest in Batumi, Georgia, with the former playing in midfield for England and the latter in goal for their opponents.
Their club-mate Harvey Elliott, meanwhile, came off the victors’ bench late on in a game that was decided by second-half goals from Jacob Ramsey and Emile Smith Rowe.
Jones, Jaros and Elliott will be back in action on Sunday, when England meet Israel and Czechia face Germany.
