Liverpool Ladies trio Martha Harris, Kate Longhurst and Rosie White have shown their support to Standard Chartered's Goal Programme by hosting a soccer clinic in Zambia.

The girls flew to Zambia for a press conference alongside the club sponsor on Thursday evening before participating in a soccer clinic on Frida in Lusaka.

Goal is a global programme aimed at empowering adolescent girls from low-income communities with the skills they need to make informed life choices.

Through a combination of sports and life skills training, Goal aims to empower and equip adolescent girls with the confidence, knowledge and skills they need to be integral economic leaders in their families, communities and societies.

On the visit to Zambia, New Zealand international White said; "It is a real privilege to have been invited to Zambia by Standard Chartered to promote the Goal programme.

"The programme is a fantastic one aimed at providing equal opportunities for females competing in sports such as football.

"I am sure that the programme will provide many girls with not only an opportunity to participate in sports but to gain an education and learn key life skills."
