Reds line up stopper as competition
Liverpool are sizing up a January move for AC Milan goalkeeper Diego Lopez to provide competition for Simon Mignolet.
According to Fichajes, Klopp has identified Lopez as a man whom he could bring to Liverpool when the transfer window opens in 2016.
Lopez, at 34, represents an experienced goalkeeper, who made 216 appearances for Villarreal.
After a brief spell at Sevilla, Lopez returned to his original club, Real Madrid, where he became the man who supplanted Iker Casillas as their No 1, racking up 62 games in all competitions in just two years.
But having installed himself as Milan's first choice last season, the Spaniard lost his place last month to 16-year-old sensation, Gianluigi Donnarumma.
However, Liverpool boss Klopp has already said that he is more than happy with Mignolet, and any move for Lopez would certainly not be with a view to replacing the Belgian long-term.
