Chelsea and Liverpool are set for a summer transfer tussle over Schalke defender Sead Kolasinac.

The 22-year-old Bosnian emerged as one of the most promising left-backs in the Bundesliga and attracted interest from across Europe as a result.

However, he has since lost in place in the Schalke first team and it has been suggested he could leave at the end of the season.

And, according to Bild, both Chelsea and Liverpool want to bring him over to the Premier League.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has already secured the services of his team-mate Joel Matip, who will arrive at Anfield in the summer.

And it has been reported Klopp is hoping to reunite the pair in his squad by making a move for Kolasinac.

However, he will face strong competition from Chelsea who are also in the market for a new left-back – although the managerial uncertainty at Stamford Bridge may allow Liverpool to swoop.
