Liverpool to make swoop for United star?
Manchester United have lost patience with misfiring winger Mephis Depay after less than a year with the club.
Depay, who made his £25million move from PSV to Manchester United last summer, was tipped to be one of the most exciting Premier League players this season after his astounding goalscoring exploits in the Dutch Eredivisie last year.
But after scoring just two league goals this season, Louis van Gaal has sanctioned his move away from Old Trafford this summer in a bid to try to recoup some of the money they forked out for the Dutch international less that 12 months ago.
It was last May that Ed Woodward managed to pip Premier League rivals Liverpool to the 22-year-old’s signature, and the Reds could well reignite their interest if the winger becomes available at a cut-price deal this summer.
According to the Mirror, clubs in England and across the continent have expressed their interest in Depay.
