Reds plot swoop for Newcastle ace
Liverpool are keeping tabs on wantaway Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko, according to reports.
Sissoko will leave St James' Park this summer following Newcastle's relegation to the Championship, according to French newspaper L'Equipe.
The report says German side Hamburg have already had a £10million bid for the midfielder rejected, as Rafa Benitez is keen to hold onto the France international.
However, Liverpool are said to be waiting in the wings for the 26-year-old and Jurgen Klopp is said to rate the Frenchman very highly.
Sissoko is currently on international duty with France at Euro 2016, meaning any deal for the midfielder may have to wait until after the tournament.
Speaking to French publication Foot Mercato earlier this month, Sissoko said: "I have reached a level where playing in the Championship would be difficult for me… I need to continue to evolve."
On Arsenal's interest, he added: "It is very flattering because Arsenal is one of the best European teams.
"The beautiful Arsenal. We will see. I cannot tell you if I am going to go to Arsenal.
"For the moment, I am focused on the French national team and the Euros."
