Liverpool are preparing an £11million swoop for Borussia Dortmund teenager Christian Pulisic.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is keen to be reunited with the American winger, who joined the Bundesliga side during his tenure.

Klopp has been prompted into making the move after Stoke City made a similar offer for the 17-year-old.

Pulisic became the youngest foreigner to score in the Bundesliga last season when he netted against Hamburg in April.

Klopp rates the Pennsylvania-born teenager highly and promoted him to train with the first team just months after signing for Dortmund as a 16-year-old in January 2015.

He made his Bundesliga bow 12 months later, and finished his debut campaign with two goals in 12 games.

Pulisic has already won six caps and scored one goal for the United States senior national team having skippered the Under-17 side at the U17 World Cup last year.

The youngster featured for Dortmund as a substitute in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final against Liverpool in April.
