Christian Pulisic told to leave Dortmund
Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic has been told 'it's time for a change' ahead of the January transfer window.
Pulisic was a target for Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool back in 2016, when the Reds had an offer rejected by Dortmund. The Reds have continued to keep tabs on the American forward but Chelsea have emerged as the favourites to sign him.
And now former United States international Alexi Lalas believes it's time for Pulisic to leave Dortmund for bigger and better things.
Lalas told Cowherd: "There are teams all over the world that would love to have Christian Pulisic right now.
"I think he's done a great job in going over to Germany, he's done a great job at Borussia Dortmund.
"But I think it's time for a change right now for Christian Pulisic, and a change to an even higher profile team."
The 20-year-old is out of contract in 2020 and Dortmund are expected to cash in on the player if he refuses to sign a new deal with the club.
Lalas says that whoever does sign the player will be getting one of the "phenoms" of world football.
"(Pulisic) is one of the phenoms in the world, he just happens to be American," Lalas added.
"There's going to be pressure to win, and to deliver. He's a very young player so he's still getting better."
