Liverpool and Southampton are reportedly keeping tabs on the contract situation of Espanyol’s Marc Roca.

The 19-year-old has been with his boyhood club since 2007 when he joined the youth academy.

Last summer he signed a deal until 2017 with the option of a further two years.

But after making his first-team debut for Espanyol this season, interest has sparked in the young Spaniard.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Espanyol want to extend to his contract and increase his buy-out clause.

However, Liverpool and Southampton are said to be watching the talks closely.

Roca’s current release clause is £1.3million (1.5m euros) which is easily affordable for both clubs.

Espanyol are managed by former Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores.
