Jurgen Klopp has instructed Liverpool chiefs to make a fresh £26million bid for Borussia Monchengladbach's Mahmoud Dahoud, according to German publication Die Express.

The former Mainz and Borussia Dortmund boss has followed the 20-year-old since his Bundesliga days and is keen to bring him to the Premier League.

Liverpool were unable to tempt Gladbach into selling Dahoud last summer after the German club lost Granit Xhaka to Arsenal, but have kept a close eye on his situation since.
