Latest on Liverpool interest in Mahmoud Dahoud
Liverpool have reportedly shelved their interest in Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud.
Dahoud has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool over the last two transfer windows.
Jürgen Klopp attempted to sign the Borussia Monchengladbach star last summer and opted against bringing him in last month.
And according to Liverpool Echo report James Pearce, the Reds have cooled their interest in the 21-year-old midfielder.
"All gone very quiet on Dahoud," Pearce said.
"Liverpool were very keen last summer but Monchengladbach didn’t want to sell.
"Since then I’ve not heard Dahoud mentioned. I’ll get on the case."
Dahoud is having a tough season with Gladbach and has managed just one goal and two assists in 15 Bundesliga appearances this term.
However, the Germany U21 international is not the only Bundesliga star on Klopp's radar.
The Liverpool boss is also said to be monitoring Bayer Leverkusen winger Julian Brandt and goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
