Liverpool face PSG competition for Pulisic
Liverpool face competition from Paris Saint-Germain in their efforts to sign Christian Pulisic, according to reports.
Liverpool were linked with Pulisic earlier this week, with claims that manager Jurgen Klopp is keen on the forward.
Klopp’s links to Dortmund and his knowledge of their youth set-up are supposedly key to Liverpool’s pursuit of the 18-year-old.
But German newspaper Bild claim the Reds have a transfer rival.
According to the report, PSG are favourites to land Pulisic after sporting director Patrick Kluivert and owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi gave the green light to a deal.
PSG manager Unai Emery is seeking to bolster his attack after failing to adequately replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who departed for Manchester United in the summer.
Paris have struggled in Ligue 1 this season and currently sit third - a point behind title rivals Monaco and Nice.
USA international Pulisic only made his Dortmund debut last January but has already caught the eye of scouts across Europe.
The report adds that Dortmund will likely set a high asking price for their young star but that money is no barrier for his suitors.
