Timo Werner speaks out on Liverpool rumours
It looks as though Timo Werner is set to stay at RB Leipzig for at least another season.
The young German striker had been linked with a move to Liverpool last week, with a report in the Daily Mail claiming that Jurgen Klopp was eyeing a summer move.
But Werner moved to address his future after Leipzig's shock 3-0 loss to Werder Bremen, saying he is happy with the Bundesliga club.
"I want to keep growing together with RB Leipzig and keep developing here," he told Welt am Sonntag.
"I am still only 21 years old and still have plenty of years ahead of me.
"I am very happy at Leipzig. Joining this club has been a stroke of luck. I have found my way again under Ralph Hasenhuttl."
Liverpool are one of several clubs interested in Werner's team-mate Naby Keita, while Emile Forsberg has also been mentioned as a potential target.
Meanwhile, it looks as though Mahmoud Dahoud could be on his way to Man City.
The Daily Mirror report that Pep Guardiola has sent scouts to watch the young Gladbach midfielder in action in recent weeks and has been impressed with what he has seen.
Dahoud was a target for Liverpool last summer, but Gladbach rejected the Reds' advances and Klopp's interest has since cooled.
