'Liverpool face summer shoot-out for Christian Pulisic'
Liverpool are facing a summer shoot-out with Bayern Munich to land teenage hot-shot Christian Pulisic report the Mirror.
The USA international is one of Borussia Dortmund's most prized assets and Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has him on his summer shopping list having known him well from his time in charge of the Ruhr club.
However, Klopp – who is set to be handed the club's biggest ever transfer war chest this summer – will have fierce competition for the 18-year-old's signature from Bundesliga leaders who are bidding for a fifth straight title.
While Dortmund, who are poised to cash in on top scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, don't want to lose Pulisic at such a young age, financial constraints ensure they are always willing to listen to big money offers for their top players.
Born in Hershey, Pennsylvania – dubbed 'Chocolatetown, USA' and 'The Sweetest Place on Earth' after the late confectionary magnate Milton S Hershey whose chocolate company is based in the town – Pulisic can operate as an attacking midfielder in either a wide or central role.
The youngest ever player to turn out for the USA in a World Cup qualifier, Pulisic has already been capped 13 times and could command a £30million fee with Tottenham Hotspur also in the hunt and Manchester United having regularly scouted him.
