Monaco star Mbappe taking time over future
Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe has said he's yet to make a decision over his future, with Liverpool among the clubs interested in him.
The Reds are keeping an eye on the 18-year-old's situation at Monaco after his outstanding campaign in France.
The teenager scored 26 goals in all competitions and played a key role in helping his team win Ligue 1 this season while he also starred as they got to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
There were reports last week that Liverpool had lodged a £60million bid, but no official approach has yet been made and the club are well aware they face stiff competition to sign Mbappe, with European heavyweights like Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid plus Premier League rivals Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal also being linked.
Mbappe has said he will make a decision on his future although he's made it clear he needs to be at a club next term where he will be playing regularly - a comment that could be read as a hint he is content to stay where he is for now.
He said: "I will make a choice based on my sporting career, and my career is first and foremost, and I am at an age where I need to play, and that will be paramount.
"I’m not 35 or 36, an age where I have to manage [my body], I still have everything to learn, this year was discovery, and now comes the most important step: Confirmation.
"And I will be the sole decision-maker, and I will not go anywhere where I will be forced to go."
