Liverpool and Spurs target Leicester star
Demarai Gray wants assurances from Leicester about his first team prospects amid growing interest in the starlet.
Gray is in demand by several of City’s Premier League rivals such as Liverpool and Spurs after impressing for England U21s this summer.
The starlet, 21, scored twice for Aidy Boothroyd’s side as they reached the semi-finals of the European Championships.
But he only made nine League starts for the Foxes last term and admitted he found the season “very tough” after being used off the bench 21 times.
Mirror Sport understands Gray does not have a buy-out clause and Leicester are loathe to lose him after paying £3.5million for him to Birmingham in January 2016.
But Gray feels he deserves more game-time and is pressing boss Craig Shakespeare for assurances about his prospects.
Gray wants to know what Shakespeare’s plans are should fellow winger Riyad Mahrez, 26, get his wish to leave.
Arsenal are interested in Mahrez who has publicly stated his desire to leave but the Algerian is due back at Leicester for pre-season training.
