Liverpool 'set to open talks' with Lyon over Nabil Fekir
Liverpool are set to open talks with Lyon over attacker Nabil Fekir - but not until after the Champions League final is done and dusted.
The Reds take on Real Madrid in Kiev and Jurgen Klopp's focus will not sway from trying to land Liverpool a sixth European Cup for the time being, but then the German will certainly look to ensure that his side are even stronger next year.
Nabil Fekir is a player who Liverpool have scouted - though there has been no bid from Anfield for the France midfielder just yet. Though that could soon change, according to L'Equipe.
The French newspaper, who are known for being fairly reliable, claim that the Reds will approach Lyon next week.
And with some more detail courtesy of Sport Witness , it's fully expected that Fekir does depart the Ligue 1 side this summer.
Liverpool should brace themselves for a tough negotiation, however, with Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas known for extracting every penny from sides during transfer talks.
Fekir has been in brilliant form this season, scoring a total of 23 goals and chipping in with seven assists. The 24-year-old is set to play a key role for for France at the World Cup in Russia.
