Liverpool target close to agreement
Roma stopper Alisson has agreed personal terms with Real Madrid, according to reports.
The Brazil international seems set to leave Italy this summer and has been strongly linked with a transfer to Liverpool since January. But, the Reds have reportedly refused to meet Roma’s asking price and dropped out of the running to pursue other targets.
Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo claim Alisson has already come to terms with Real as he tries to push through a move to the Champions League winners.
However, Madrid and Roma are miles apart in the valuation of Alisson. Roma are demanding over £70million for the goalkeeper, but Real’s latest offer was £20m off that figure.
Real are willing to pay £48m plus an extra £4.4m in add-ons, and negotiations will continue between the two clubs. Alisson’s performances for club and country in the last year has attracted a host of suitors, and Roma are determined to get the best price for the goalkeeper.
Alisson will become the most expensive goalkeeper in history if he is sold for more £34.7m this summer.
