Liverpool have been handed a major boost ahead of Sunday’s decisive Premier League meeting with Wolves after Mohamed Salah was declared fit.

The Egyptian was substituted during last weekend’s 3-2 win at Newcastle after sustaining a minor concussion in a sickening accidental clash with goalkeeper Martin Dubravka.

That blow forced him to miss out on Barcelona’s Champions League visit to Anfield on Tuesday - an unforgettable 4-0 win for the hosts that sealed their place in next month’s final.

However, Standard Sport understands Salah is set for a return to action on Sunday, when Jürgen Klopp’s team contest their final league fixture of the campaign.

Liverpool do, however, face a wait on the fitness of Andy Robertson.

The Scot was forced off at half-time in midweek having taken a heavy knock on his calf in a clash with Luis Suarez.

The club’s medical staff have no concerns that Klopp’s first-choice left-back will be available for the upcoming Champions League final meeting with Tottenham, but a late call will be made on whether he can play this weekend.
