Bournemouth star responds to Liverpool transfer rumours
Rumoured Liverpool target Lewis Cook has opened up on transfer speculation linking him with a move to Anfield.
The Bournemouth midfielder, who has recently returned from the ligament injury he sustained last December, has also been linked with Chelsea.
A recent report from the Daily Mail suggested Liverpool and Frank Lampard's Blues were both interested in acquiring the 22-year-old.
Cook, who has made four appearances for Eddie Howe's side this term, has responded to the rumours.
Speaking to the Bournemouth Echo, Cook admitted: "I have just started playing football here.
"I had been out for a long time, so I am just focusing on Bournemouth at the moment.
"I am loving being back and playing football. I just forget about it (the speculation) really.
"You’ve just got to focus on your football here and keep enjoying it.
"I am obviously enjoying playing football again - that’s all I am focusing on right now.
"I am enjoying my football here, it’s a great place to be and play great football."
