'There's definitely been progress but we've still got work to do'
Liverpool FC Women interim manager Amber Whiteley is proud of the progress made by the team as they aim to secure a top-three finish in the FA Women's Championship.
With just two league games remaining, the Reds face third-placed Sheffield United this afternoon, with the sides level on points in the table but the Blades ahead courtesy of one more goal scored.

On the 1-0 loss at Leicester City in the Vitality Women's FA Cup last weekend…
It was a tight game of very few chances for either side. I felt we held our own really well but we just couldn't quite get the goal that we needed in the end to try to level things up. We had a couple of really good opportunities at the end, but credit to Leicester and they deserved their win overall.

There has definitely been progress made but still there's work to be done. You could see by our performance and result at Leicester that we are not too far off, but we need to keep working hard and making sure that we bridge that gap and we are in a better place next season.
On today's trip to Sheffield United…
This is a huge game for us. Sheffield United are in really good form and there's not a lot between the two sides – there's just a goal in it that's keeping us apart. It's going to be a tough test this weekend and it's really important that we get the result because we absolutely want to finish as high as we can in the league this season. We are Liverpool Football Club and we want to win every game we play and we will be putting everything that we can in on Sunday to make sure we get the result that we want.
On Rachel Furness helping Northern Ireland qualify for next year's Women's European Championship…
A fantastic achievement, not just for Rachel but for the entire Northern Ireland team. They will go down in history and I think it's much more than just qualifying for the Euros next year. I think what they've done, they've managed to inspire a nation. I'm really pleased for Rachel and for the entire Northern Ireland team, so massive congratulations to all of them. When we watched the first game we were so concerned for Rachel, not just because she picked up the injury, because we knew how much those two games meant to her. I know she would have been doing everything she could to support the team in the second game, the players and the staff. The injury Rachel has [a broken left fibula] is quite a lengthy one, maybe six to eight weeks in the boot, but it shouldn't impact on pre-season or the beginning of next season, so she will be back.
