Reminder: Use of pyrotechnics could result in fan sanctions
Ahead of Thursday’s game against Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool FC would like to remind supporters that flares, smoke bombs and pyrotechnics are illegal and prohibited.
The club has been charged by UEFA for Liverpool supporters using pyrotechnics during recent European matches which could result in sanctions being imposed on the club and supporters at future games.
Any individual who is found taking these items to Anfield or any other stadium may face prosecution and a banning order. The use of such devices breaches ground safety regulations and poses serious risk of injury to fellow fans.
We remind supporters of the serious consequences they will face surrounding the possession and/or use of pyrotechnics and any other illegal items in Anfield and other stadiums.
Thank you for your continued support in keeping Anfield and visiting stadiums a safe and welcoming environment for all fans.
