Kenny Dalglish opened up on the key influences in his life that have led to the legendary Scot being knighted in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.
The King will become ‘Sir’ in recognition of his outstanding contribution to football as a player with Celtic, Liverpool and Scotland, and later a manager, as well as his off-field charity work and support for the local community.
To mark the announcement on Friday night, Dalglish sat down with Liverpoolfc.com to reflect on his pride at receiving the award and explain why he owes a debt of gratitude to those who helped him reach this point.
