Photos: U18s quartet lend support to Owen McVeigh Foundation fun day
Four Academy players joined the LFC Foundation in lending their support to the Owen McVeigh Foundation family fun day on Saturday.
U18s starlets Daniel Atherton, Curtis Jones, Glen McAuley and Adbi Sharif went along to the event held at the David Lloyd Knowsley centre and took part in the range of activities on offer.
In addition, they showcased their skills in a series of coaching sessions laid on by the LFC Foundation.
Boxer Anthony Fowler also popped along to give his backing to the afternoon.
The Owen McVeigh Foundation was established in honour of Owen McVeigh, a passionate Red who tragically passed away at the age of 11 shortly after being diagnosed with leukaemia in December 2015.
Its aim is to enrich the lives of local children suffering with cancer by providing them and their families with money-cannot-buy experiences.
A special T-shirt in tribute to Owen’s memory will remain on sale at Liverpool FC’s three city stores and online throughout September, with all proceeds going to the Owen McVeigh Foundation.
