Liverpool U18s made a special visit to Alder Hey Children's Hospital this week to meet young patients and deliver gifts.

Barry Lewtas’ squad visited the base in West Derby to celebrate Halloween with the young patients at the hospital.

“It is a real honour to be able to visit the kids and cheer them up by handing over gifts and signing some autographs,” said U18s midfielder Elijah Dixon-Bonner.

“With Christmas fast approaching, it is a really difficult time for them to be in hospital but the children continue to show real bravery and positivity as they look to overcome illness.”

Gill Kennedy, from Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, said: “It was a pleasure to host another visit from the U18 LFC squad. The boys spent time talking to patients and families and even got involved with our Halloween-themed art workshop.

“Thank you to everyone involved for taking the time out of their busy schedules, we look forward to seeing the players again at Christmas.”
