Steven Gerrard Foundation supports LFC's Emergency Foodbank Appeal
The Steven Gerrard Foundation has donated £5,000 to the LFC Emergency Foodbank Appeal, to help support foodbanks serving vulnerable people in Liverpool and Merseyside.
The LFC Emergency Foodbank Appeal provides fans the opportunity to make a charitable donation to support the Trussell Trust Foodbank network, which provides emergency assistance to people living in food poverty.
“On behalf of my foundation, I am proud to make this donation to the LFC Emergency Foodbank Appeal to support those who need it most,” said Gerrard.
“Foodbanks provide a lifeline for so many people and continuing to support them during these unprecedented times is especially important.
“Any donation that people can give, no matter how big or small, will make a big difference and will help to ensure that the foodbanks can carry on providing essential services to those who need it most.”
This donation to the Reds’ Emergency Foodbank Appeal to total to over £13,000, which equates to providing over 800 three-day emergency food parcels to vulnerable people in need.
The Steven Gerrard Foundation, which was founded in 2011, is committed to making a lasting difference to disadvantaged children through generating as much money as possible to provide additional funding for a range of children’s charitable organisations and projects.
Fans can donate to the LFC Emergency Foodbank Appeal via LFC’s and LFC Foundation’s official Facebook pages.
The appeal, which will be administered by LFC Foundation, will donate 100 per cent of the funds raised directly to the Trussell Trust, which supports a network of foodbanks across Liverpool and Merseyside.
