LFC Lotto returns to fund essential adult health projects this season
LFC Lotto has kicked off the 2020-21 season with a special subscription drive for September aimed at raising vital funds for LFC Foundation's military veterans and adult health programmes.
As ever, fans can be in with the chance of winning fantastic prizes while also supporting the club’s official charity - and during September, those who subscribe to the LFC Lotto will be entered into a special subscribers-only draw to win one of 10 Reds Nike home stadium shirts*.
Having raised more than £70k last season through the LFC Lotto, LFC Foundation is prompting Reds supporters to join in once more. As well as being entered into every LFC Lotto draw, you will be able to enjoy exclusive subscriber-only offers throughout the campaign and help LFC Foundation make significant positive changes in the lives of others.
For each matchday draw, 50 per cent of proceeds go to the cash prize winner and 50 per cent is donated to the club’s official charity.
Matt Parish, LFC Foundation director, said: “Through the funds raised by LFC Lotto this year we hope to be able to make huge changes in our communities, especially with the impact of COVID-19 likely to hit those already most in need.
“For example, as part of our COVID-19 recovery strategy, we are focusing even more heavily on supporting the mental health of our adult participants and will soon be announcing details of new initiatives that will help us reach and support many more Reds fans in the community.”
LFC Lotto will also continue to fund LFC Foundation’s military veterans programme, which aims to support and re-engage ex-military service men and women back into civilian life through the power of football.
As well as regular opportunities to participate in football, the scheme includes family events, education sessions and breakfast clubs.
Kevin Williams, military veterans programme participant, said: “Just for that hour-and-a-half on a Sunday afternoon, or a couple of hours on a Thursday, it’s like you are back in the forces again.
“It’s that camaraderie… it’s having a laugh with lads who have had similar experiences to me. It even helps with mental health as people talk to each other and open up about things that they may have been through. There are lads there who have had struggles. We have made friends, friendships for life.”
The first draw is now open to win a huge cash prize and a shirt signed by Jordan Henderson.
