Liverpool duo Christian Benteke and Divock Origi played 45 minutes apiece as Belgium defeated Cyprus 1-0 on Sunday evening.

Benteke, who had missed his country's 3-1 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina on Thursday, returned to Marc Wilmot's starting line-up in Nicosia after being passed fit.

He was replaced by Reds teammate Origi at the break, with the scores level at 0-0 in the European Championship qualifying fixture.

Belgium eventually found the breakthrough, however, when Eden Hazard swept home in the final ten minutes to keep his team on track for qualification.

With their international commitments now fulfilled, both strikers will return to Melwood to begin preparations for the upcoming clash with Manchester United.
