Divock Origi faced the press in Switzerland on Wednesday evening ahead of Liverpool's Europa League clash with FC Sion. Here's what the young striker had to say in full…

Divock, qualification has already been secured for the next round, but tomorrow night’s result will secure either top spot or second – how do the players view that? Is it important to you guys where you finish?

For us all, we are very ambitious. We want to go far in every competition, so our objective is to win the game tomorrow.

You scored a hat-trick against Southampton recently…how big of an opportunity is this for you to build on that performance?

It will be a new opportunity to prove myself, so I will be ready if the coach needs me. The most important thing is to enjoy my game and try to learn from every moment I get. If I do this, I hope everything will go okay.

Having scored those goals against Southampton, has it taken a weight off your shoulders? Do you come into this game feeling in a different place, personally?

As a striker, it’s always important to be effective and score goals. The end product was there in my last game and I am happy for this. I hope I can continue in a good moment and in these next games, I am excited for the team and everybody. I will try to give my all and enjoy my game.

What’s the major change for Liverpool between the first game [against Sion in October] and tomorrow’s?

It’s hard to answer this question, very hard. First of all, the biggest change is the manager. It’s the same players still, but for us it’s a new challenge. At the time, we were aiming to get the three points for us to get this game at the end and try and secure first place. Now for us, the objective is to finish first.

You said one of the biggest things for you is to be learning while you’re at the club. What are the biggest lessons you’ve learned over the last couple of weeks?

I’ve learned a lot. As a young player you can improve on everything. If I am here, it is because I deserve to be here, but I have to grow and try to maximise my potential in every way. I can’t pick out one thing that is really big, but for me it’s probably in every way and also the mental side of the game.
