In his matchday programme notes for this evening, Jürgen Klopp welcomes the return of his Liverpool side to Anfield after a long and challenging spell on the road and praises the contribution of the squad's young players.

The following is an exclusive extract from 'This Is Anfield'.

“Our last four matches have brought us a variety of experiences and emotions and it is all something we will learn from as we look to develop further as a group,” Klopp writes.

“The wins at Sunderland and Stoke City were very satisfying and the character the team demonstrated was pleasing. We showed our fighting qualities in these games and a determination to get a positive result.

“West Ham, of course, was a very different experience, but still a valuable learning experience for all of us.

"The game at Exeter City on Friday was of course absolutely different because of the approach we had to take. In this moment I have no idea what the team line-up will look like when the replay comes around again, but if we have to play a similar team I know these players will go out and fight and give everything to get us through.

“It would be a great experience for them and great for their development to play at Anfield also.”

As well as the manager’s notes and the captain’s column from Jordan Henderson, there is a typically entertaining interview with former Gunner Kolo Toure and a fascinating Q&A with Reds goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, plus the latest news from the Academy, full opposition analysis and the popular 'Anfield Extra' section for fans.

And don't miss the double deal at Anfield and in official club stores: only £6 for the matchday programme and the latest issue of the club’s official monthly magazine. A triple deal with Kop Kids magazine is also available for £8.
