Steven Gerrard's injury-time winner earned all three points for Liverpool the last time the sides met.

Fernando Torres had given the Reds an early lead with a trademark slaloming run and finish in this Premier League clash at what was then known as Pride Park on Boxing Day 2007.

It looked like Rafa Benitez’s men would have to settle for a point against a Derby team they had thrashed 6-0 at Anfield earlier in the season when Jay McEveley equalised midway through the second half - but Gerrard had other ideas.

The skipper picked up the ball inside his own half, burst forward down the left and played in Yossi Benayoun to cross. Torres had a shot well saved from close range, but Gerrard was on hand to bundle home the rebound and spark wild celebrations in the away end.
