The Tigers began this campaign with two wins from their opening two games - only Bolton Wanderers in 2001-02 of all the newly-promoted teams had previously achieved the feat in the Premier League.

It was also the first time Hull had recorded wins in their first two league games since 2004-05, when they were a third-tier club, having never previously done it in the Premier League.

They also became the first team since 1989 to beat the defending top-flight champions in their opening game of the campaign when defeating Leicester 2-1 last month.
