Our top three stories…

Jürgen Klopp will mark exactly one year in charge of Liverpool this Saturday – but he doesn’t want any cake to celebrate the occasion!

“My year is what, October 8, yes? We will not celebrate, I can tell you that! Hopefully nobody brings me a cake!”

The manager also stressed the importance of his Liverpool side being ready for the kind of difficult challenge they faced against Swansea in each and every game they play.

“We have to get used to it. To be a successful team you need to be a challenger in each game, challenging for three points in every game.”

Meanwhile, James Milner explained why he’s never worked with a manager quite like Klopp during his long and distinguished career so far – and believes the Reds are reaping the rewards of having him at the helm.

"Jürgen is a top manager. Definitely up there with one of the best I’ve worked with. His organisation, his passion. The sessions he does are different to anything else I’ve ever experienced.”
