Almost 11 months on from scoring an unforgettable hat-trick against Manchester United at Anfield, Dirk Kuyt again proved to be the scourge of the old enemy in this FA Cup fourth-round tie in January 2012.

Daniel Agger's header gave Liverpool the lead midway through the first half, but United drew level before half-time courtesy of Park Ji-sung's equaliser.

Kenny Dalglish's Reds had been knocked out of the cup at United a year earlier, and looked set for a return to Old Trafford for a replay as time ebbed away.

But Kuyt, introduced as a second-half substitute in place of Jamie Carragher, once again proved to be the man for the big occasion.

There was nothing particularly pretty about the Dutchman's 88th-minute Kop-end winner - Andy Carroll flicked on Pepe Reina's long goal kick before Kuyt beat David de Gea at his near post - but it was devastatingly effective and sparked wild celebrations inside Anfield.
