Coutinho is certainly not short of admirers in the red half of Merseyside, and the Brazilian's excellent early-season form has now been recognised by his international manager.

The Reds' No.10 is set to start his country's World Cup qualifier against Bolivia on Friday morning, with Brazil boss Tite explaining: “There's a reason he is called 'the magician' [by Liverpool fans].

“Right now this is Coutinho's moment. And in football, you have to follow the moment.”

Meanwhile, Lovren has offered a fascinating glimpse into what it's like to have Jürgen Klopp as your boss.

“There are a lot of things that I have learnt from him but he is not just a good manager, he is a good man,” says the Liverpool centre-back.

Only Manchester City can equal Liverpool's total of 18 goals from seven Premier League games so far this season, while Klopp's side have also netted eight times in two EFL Cup outings - and it's safe to say Reds legend David Fairclough is liking what he is seeing.

“The way Liverpool are playing at the moment, it's very difficult to track the runs of everyone. The movement has been exceptional,” Fairclough tells Liverpoolfc.com.
