Philippe Coutinho's brilliant individual effort against West Bromwich Albion has been voted by fans as Liverpool's Goal of the Month for October.

Collecting Sadio Mane's pass, the Brazilian sold two defenders a dummy before drilling home with a reverse shot into the near post.

Coutinho's memorable finish picked up 27 per cent of the total votes cast.

Just behind in second place on 24 per cent was Mane's brilliantly executed strike during the same game against West Brom.

In a close poll, third spot was claimed by Roberto Firmino's cool finish during the 4-2 win at Crystal Palace, which picked up 22 per cent of the votes.

Fourth spot also went to Firmino courtesy of his header during the 2-1 win at Swansea City, while Joel Matip's first goal for the club at Crystal Palace saw him take fifth place.
