It was announced on Friday morning that Academy director Inglethorpe has committed his future to the Reds by signing a new contract.

He did so with ‘absolutely no hesitation’ and subsequently outlined why the philosophy at every level of the club is paying dividends for young players.

In a new instalment of our ‘Behind the Badge’ series, Liverpool Ladies manager Scott Rogers told the intriguing story of his journey to the club and explained what he has learned from Jürgen Klopp.

Bruce Grobbelaar has been in town and, in the first part of our chat with the former Liverpool goalkeeper, he offered his thoughts on the Reds’ exciting start to the season.

There seems to be no stopping Philippe Coutinho.

Liverpool’s ‘little magician’ thrilled for Brazil in their World Cup qualifier against Argentina overnight, smacking a finish into the top corner for the opening goal of a 3-0 win in Belo Horizonte.

Closer to home, meanwhile, both Adam Lallana and Daniel Sturridge were among the goals with headers as England saw off Scotland by the same scoreline at Wembley.
