First he collected a pass from Jordan Henderson before feeding a central Sadio Mane, who spun and spread the ball to Nathaniel Clyne down the right.
Liverpool's right-back swung in an inch-perfect cross to the back post - and Lallana arrived to thump home a brave header that set Jürgen Klopp's side on their way to a comfortable 3-0 win.
His brilliant indvidual performance also included another goal and an assist for Divock Origi.
