Klopp has history with City boss Pep Guardiola, with the two men having met on eight occasions during their time in the Bundesliga.

The Reds' manager has won four and lost four of his previous games against Guardiola, and he has spoken of his respect for the former Bayern Munich and Barcelona coach.

Klavan, meanwhile, has told us that Liverpool will not alter their approach for City.

"Of course you have to know what kind of striker you are up against; it’s a big difference if it’s Peter Crouch or Sergio Aguero. You are a little bit tuned in to that, but not too much," the Estonian told Liverpoolfc.com.

One man who knows plenty about City is, of course, James Milner. After half a season of playing as the Reds' left-back, the vice-captain has told us how he is finding the position while also lifting the lid on his tactical discussions with Klopp.
