Jürgen Klopp's pre-Plymouth Argyle media briefing, the latest raft of training pictures from Melwood, and an award for Adam Lallana feature in our round-up of today's Liverpool FC news.

Find out what else happened with the Reds on Friday January 6 below.

Our top three stories...

James Milner, Daniel Sturridge, Joel Matip and Philippe Coutinho have all been injury worries for Klopp in recent weeks, and he provided the latest news on their fitness in his press conference.

One man who is definitely off the treatment table, however, is Joe Gomez - and the young defender could be set for a first-team comeback this weekend.

Meanwhile, the performances of Liverpool's No.20 for the month of December were recognised today, as Lallana received the Standard Chartered Player of the Month award as voted for by fans.

In other news...

Klopp has hinted that fans turning up at Anfield on Sunday can expect some involvement from the Academy graduates who have impressed during their handful of appearances this season.

With that in mind, we sat down with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ovie Ejaria and Ben Woodburn, for a chat about their recent progress. And you can watch it in full here.

That trio were involved in today's training session at Melwood, alongside fit-again duo Coutinho and Sturridge - check out a gallery here.

But there was no sign of Pedro Chirivella after he today agreed a loan move to Dutch outfit Go Ahead Eagles until the end of the 2016-17 campaign.
