Mohamed Salah has been named Liverpool's Standard Chartered Men's Player of the Month for December.

The forward, who is currently representing Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations, was in scintillating form during a month that he began with a clinically finished brace in the Reds’ 4-1 Premier League victory at Goodison Park.

Salah next brilliantly set up Divock Origi’s winner at Wolverhampton Wanderers and then provided the equaliser in the 2-1 success over AC Milan in the Champions League.

He went on to convert a match-winning penalty against Aston Villa and net as the Reds came from behind to defeat Newcastle United at Anfield, as he started seven games in December.

The No.11’s efforts saw him claim the most votes in our Player of the Month poll here on Liverpoolfc.com, ahead of Diogo Jota in second place and Trent Alexander-Arnold in third.

It’s the fourth time Salah has received the Standard Chartered award so far in 2021-22.
