Metro: Lacazette move back on

Liverpool’s pursuit of Alexandre Lacazette has been given a huge boost after the striker told Lyon he wants to leave, according to sources in France.

The 24-year-old French international has become one of the most sought after strikers in world football after he netted 27 Ligue 1 goals last season as Lyon finished league runners-up to eventual winners PSG.

The striker, who is valued in the region of £21million, has been repeatedly linked with a move to the Premier League but only now has information surfaced of the player’s desire to leave French football.

According to reports national newspaper L’Equipe, Lacazette has asked Lyon to listen to any potential offers from abroad with Liverpool believed to be interested.
