Liverpool have made an offer to sign Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, according to reports.

Ter Stegen has emerged as a rumoured Liverpool target in recent days, with suggestions that Jürgen Klopp is very keen on bringing him to Anfield.

And now Spanish outlet Don Balon says Liverpool have opened talks with Barcelona over signing the German – and an offer has been made.

The outlet says the Reds want to sign Ter Stegen on a two-year loan spell with the option to purchase him at the end of this period.

It’s claimed that this has been rejected, but talks remain open between the two clubs, and while Barcelona want to postpone until the end of the campaign, Liverpool remain keen.

An agile shot-stopper famed for his brilliant reflexes, Ter Stegen has a release clause set at £56.7million.
