Liverpool have made direct contact with Barcelona ‘keeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, according to reports.

The Reds are yet to open talks with the Blaugrana, but this has not stopped them from sounding out the German over a move according to French radio station RMC Sport.

Although he regularly starts in the Champions League and Copa del Rey, the former Borussia Monchengladbach man is understood to have become unhappy at being second choice to Claudio Bravo in La Liga.

As such, he may be open to a move to the Merseyside outfit.
