Liverpool are eyeing a move for Red Bull Leipzig forward Emil Forsberg, according to reports.

Usually featuring on the left wing, the Sweden international has been a key part of Red Bull’s promotion charge this term – scoring five times in 17 league games.

The 24-year-old was recently voted best player of the Bundesliga II, and could be available for just over £6.6 million according to Bild.

Leicester City, AS Roma, Valencia, and Inter Milan are also interested though, so the Reds are likely to face a fight for his signature.

However, they do have the advantage of being the player’s favourite team.

With Jurgen Klopp struggling to get his team scoring, the Swedish midfielder of the year for 2014 could be a relatively cheap solution.

The Reds may need to invest in January if they are to challenge for the top four, with the team currently five points off half way through the season.
