Manchester United and Liverpool are set to go head-to-head for teenage midfielder Ruben Neves, according to reports in Portugal.

The 19-year-old has been in the Porto first team for two seasons and could be set for a Premier League switch.

Both clubs are keen for reinforcements with Jose Mourinho and Jurgen Klopp looking to bolster their ranks.

Neves impressed at Porto last season playing 35 games and has two Portugal caps.

He missed out on a place in the Euro 2016 squad but is regarded one for the future.

Liverpool have scouted Neves for most of the season and Klopp is still looking for a midfielder.

Manchester United boss Mourinho is set to snap up Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Borussia Dortmund but needs another deeper-playing midfielder.

And Portuguese publication DN Sports suggest Neves is wanted by both clubs.

Neves is reportedly valued at £13million.
