Liverpool scouts will keep tabs on Portugal international Ruben Neves when Porto travel to Club Brugge in the Champions League.

The Anfield side are believed to have seen a bid knocked back by Porto during the summer but they have retained an interest.

Reports over the weekend suggested Liverpool have again been in contact with the 19-year-old midfielder's representatives ahead of a potential bid.

Liverpool may be prepared to wait until next summer before they make their move but it seems as if they are keeping a close eye on Neves as Belgian sources say they will have scouts watching Porto's European clash in Bruges on Tuesday.

Neves is under contract with Porto until 2019 and has a reported 40million euro release clause in his deal.

Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in Neves and they will also have scouts in Belgium on Tuesday, while representatives from the likes of Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Premier League trio Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal also set to be in the crowd at the Jan Breydel Stadium.
