Italian interest in Klopp target Marko Pjaca
Liverpool look set to miss out on Croatia international Marko Pjaca as Juventus and Napoli reportedly battle it out to sign the midfielder.
The Reds are said to be interested in landing Pjaca after scouts were impressed by his performances at Euro 2016.
But reports in Italy claim it is a straight shoot-out between Napoli and Juve to secure the 21-year-old's signature.
According to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli are set to make a £29.4million (€35m) offer for the Dinamo Zagreb ace.
Napoli expect to lose Gonzalo Higuian to one of Europe's elite clubs this summer and therefore will have cash to spend on new recruits.
But newspaper Tuttosport claim that it is in fact Juve who are on the brink of a deal with Dinamo.
They claim Pjaca has turned down the opportunity to join Napoli in favour of the Serie A champions, while Inter Milan's interest has come to nothing.
Dinamo do not need to sell Pjaca and are said to have drawn up a new contract in a late attempt to keep their star man at the club.
Gazzetta claimed a fortnight ago that Liverpool had tried and failed with a £12m bid for Pjaca and that manager Jurgen Klopp was assessing his options.
