Liverpool to battle for Championship starlet
Sunderland have reportedly joined the race for Nottingham Forest's Oliver Burke, with a host of Premier League sides keen on the youngster.
Forest's 19-year-old prodigy has attracted plenty of interest from England's top sides following his progress in the Championship.
Midfielder Burke already has three league goals from four games this season, having started the new campaign brightly at the City Ground.
And Forest now face a real challenge to keep hold of the teenager, who signed a new four-and-a-half year contract back in February.
According to the Mirror, Sunderland are now watching Burke, but Arsenal and Liverpool have already checked him out on plenty of occasions.
A £10million price tag has apparently been put on the wide midfielder, and a bright future is expected for Burke.
While the Gunners and Jurgen Klopp's side are closely monitoring the Scotland international, Tottenham and West Ham are also said to have watched him too.
The battle Sunderland face is extensive for Burke, but Forest will hope that - should Burke leave - he will sign for one of either Arsenal, Liverpool or Spurs.
It is expected any of the trio could loan Burke back to Forest, offering boss Philippe Montanier a way of keeping him around for the foreseeable future.
However, David Moyes' newly interested Sunderland and West Ham would likely want the midfielder available immediately.
As things stand though, none of the Premier League clubs have gone through with a bid for Burke.
