Liverpool move for PSG winger
Liverpool are involved in the battle to land Paris Saint-Germain winger Jese Rodriguez, according to the Las Palmas president.
Jese only moved to Paris in August in a reported 25million euros deal from Real Madrid but he has struggled for game time at the Parc des Princes, with just one goal and nine Ligue 1 appearances to date.
PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi has indicated the club are open to offers in January and a host of clubs have been linked with the 23-year-old.
It appears Liverpool are planning a move as Las Palmas club president Miguel Angel Ramirez says interest from Anfield, along with Roma and AC Milan, could see his side miss out on Jese.
Ramirez told Marca: "He wants to come to Las Palmas, but has a salary we cannot afford.
"There are important clubs in Europe who are willing to pay the full salary. Therefore, we are at a disadvantage and will have to wait.
"I do not know if you’re aware, Milan, Rome and Liverpool want to recruit Jese."
If Liverpool do move for Jese in January they are likely to attempt to sign him on a loan deal for the rest of the season with a view to a permanent deal in the summer.
